Choreography By Dionne Noble
As part of a collaboration, with choreographer Dionne Noble, we explored the world of media integration for live performance.
This piece involves the use of technology and it’s interaction with dancers. The stage is set with two live video cameras, a computer running IsadoraCore, and three projectors. IsadoraCore, a live video manipulation software, receives video feeds from the cameras and then processes the signal through my design, and sends a manipulated image back out to the projectors.
The dancers dance in front of, or with the camera yielding an interesting image that corresponds with Dionne’s choreography. In addition to the lighting and projections design, I created a sound-scape/soundtrack for this piece, which was presented in 5.1 surround sound.
