Summative Evaluation

Evidence of Professional Competency in Learning Design

Overview

This learning design evaluation artifact focuses on the reaction component of Kirkpatrick's four-level model, measuring learner satisfaction through a Net Promoter Score (NPS) and gathering qualitative feedback. The evaluation identified strengths such as video-based instructional materials and learning exercises, while highlighting weaknesses including insufficient interactivity and challenges with LinkedIn Learning content. Recommendations for improvement include enhancing video content, increasing interactive activities, and planning scaffolding for more technical courses.

Goal & Focus Area Alignment

interactive_space mediation

The evaluation artifact emphasizes refining instructional video content and increasing interactivity, which addresses iterative improvements to the learning experience design by focusing on learner reactions. Recommended improvements support wider learner adoption but do not address industry needs. To improve and refine the relevancy of the learning design, future evaluations should include feedback from workforce partners. Leveraging expanded evaluation practices in the future could improve the design and strengthen the integration of adult learning experience design and workforce & organizational development present in this program.
